作为全国政协委员，我和几位同仁都希望为红山文化保护与研究做些什么。为了写好提案，我再次来到辽西，来到牛河梁。这次故地重访给我的冲击太强了，20多年过去，“红山女神”的故乡已经发生了翻天覆地的变化，牛河梁上的神庙遗址、祭坛遗址、众多的积石冢都被保护起来。我走过的那条公路旁，一座展示馆拔地而起，远远望去，展示馆整体形状恰似一个变形的玉猪龙。在公路的另一端，茂密的松林中建起了一座女神庙保护展示馆，形似玉匣，呼应了遗址出土的大量玉器。两座展示馆本身就是两个独具特色的文化符号。
